Dependable AI Tech
"We brought Dependable AI Tech in to automate invoice processing. Within six weeks, our accounts team reclaimed about fourteen hours every week. The model they built actually understands our supplier naming conventions."
— Finance director, manufacturing firm, County Antrim (2025 engagement)

Artificial Intelligence services rooted in Northern Ireland

We work from Grady-on-Rogahn and serve businesses across Belfast, Derry, Newry, and the wider UK. If you can point to a process that wastes time or a dataset that sits untouched, we can probably help. Our office is easy to find and our door is open for a conversation before any contract is signed.

Is AI the right move for your business?

Not every problem needs a neural network. Sometimes a well-structured spreadsheet does the job. We start by figuring out whether AI will genuinely save you money or just add complexity. Here are four signs that suggest a good fit:

Repetitive data entry

Staff spending hours copying information between systems, emails, or forms. A classification model can handle most of that with minimal supervision.

Unstructured customer feedback

Reviews, support tickets, survey responses piling up. Sentiment analysis and topic extraction turn that noise into decisions.

Forecasting guesswork

Demand planning, stock levels, or staffing rotas based on gut feeling. Time-series models trained on your own historical data do better.

Visual inspection bottlenecks

Quality checks on a production line, document verification, or image sorting. Computer vision handles volume that humans physically cannot.

If none of these match, we will tell you that honestly. We have turned away roughly one in five enquiries because the cost of an AI solution would outweigh the benefit.

What we actually build

Each capability below reflects work we have delivered, not a wish list. We keep the scope tight so quality stays high.

Document intelligence

Extract structured data from invoices, contracts, and regulatory filings. We use fine-tuned transformer models that learn your document layouts within days, not months.

Predictive analytics

Sales forecasting, churn prediction, maintenance scheduling. We connect to your existing databases, train models locally, and hand over dashboards your team can actually read.

Conversational AI

Customer-facing chatbots and internal knowledge assistants built on retrieval-augmented generation. We wire them into your CRM and knowledge base so answers stay accurate.

Computer vision

Defect detection, object counting, and automated image tagging for manufacturing, logistics, and retail. Models run on-premise if your data cannot leave the building.

Sub-second inference

Data strategy audit

Before any model is trained we assess data quality, storage, governance, and access patterns. This two-week engagement often saves tens of thousands in wasted development later.

Model monitoring

Deployed models drift. We set up automated retraining pipelines, performance alerts, and bias checks so your AI stays reliable after launch day.

A note on how we price work

We do not sell AI by the hour. Every engagement starts with a fixed-fee discovery phase (usually two weeks, £2,400). At the end you receive a written report with architecture recommendations, estimated build cost, and projected return. If you decide to proceed, the discovery fee is deducted from the project total.

Build projects are priced per deliverable. A document extraction pipeline for a single document type typically costs between £6,000 and £12,000. Predictive models range from £8,000 to £20,000 depending on data complexity. We quote a ceiling price upfront and absorb overruns ourselves.

"The fixed-fee discovery meant we could take the report to our board without having already committed to a six-figure contract. That transparency won us over." — Operations manager, logistics company, Belfast

Built by engineers who explain what they build

Every model we deliver comes with plain-language documentation, a training walkthrough for your team, and a direct phone line to the engineer who wrote it.

From first call to running model

1

Free call

30-minute phone or video call. We listen, ask questions, and tell you if AI fits.

2

Discovery

Two-week fixed-fee audit of your data, systems, and goals. Ends with a written plan.

3

Build

Model development, integration, and testing. Weekly demos so nothing surprises you.

4

Deploy

Go live with monitoring, alerts, and a handover session for your team.

5

Support

Ongoing retraining, drift detection, and priority support. Month-to-month, cancel any time.

Comparing your options

You could hire an in-house data scientist, use an off-the-shelf SaaS tool, or work with us. Here is how those paths tend to compare for a mid-sized Northern Irish business.

Who we have worked with

We keep client names confidential unless they give permission, but we can share the sectors: food manufacturing, third-party logistics, legal services, retail e-commerce, and public-sector health data. Most of our clients employ between 50 and 500 people. We are not chasing enterprise contracts with eighteen-month procurement cycles.

Two of our builds are now in their second year of production use with zero unplanned downtime. The logistics client expanded their initial document extraction project into a full demand-forecasting pipeline after seeing the first results.
